Keep these precautions while storing garlic tubers

Keep these precautions while storing garlic tubers
  • Nowadays, garlic harvesting is almost complete in all places and farmers are starting to store garlic.

  • It is very important for the farmer to take some precautions during the storage of garlic.

  • Dry the garlic thoroughly in the sun before storage, so that if there is a little moisture in the garlic, then there is a possibility of the garlic getting spoiled.

  • If you have enough space and you want to keep the garlic safe for a long time, do not cut the stem from the bulb when you need it. Tie them in a bunch and keep them spread.

  • If you need to cut, first of all, dry it in bright sunlight for 8-10 days. Allow the root of the garlic tuber to dry until the roots are shattered. Then cut from the tuber to the middle of the stem, keeping a distance of 2 inches so that even after removing their layer, the buds are not scattered, and the tuber remains safe for a long time.

  • Many times a bulb gets hurt by a spade or shovel. While sorting the garlic bulb, remove the damaged bulb because it is spreading rotting in other bulbs.

Good news for farmers, now fertilizer will be available at 100% subsidy

now fertilizer will be available at 100% subsidy

The rising inflation in the country is also affecting the prices of fertilizers. However, it will not have any effect on the pockets of the farmer brothers. To help the farmers, the government has implemented a 100% subsidy scheme. Under this, the government will bear the additional burden of the purchase of fertilizers by the farmers.

It is difficult for farmers to spend money equal to the cost of production of fertilizers. As a result, a pilot project was started by the government. With the help of the scheme, fertilizers are made available to the farmers at a concessional amount. At present 100% subsidy is being given to the farmers according to the financial year 2022.

Under this scheme, POS or Point of Sales devices will be installed at all retail outlets. Through which the quantity of fertilizers sold and the details of payment will be recorded. Along with this, the information of farmers who have purchased fertilizers will also be recorded. Where the subsidy amount will be available to the producer company on the basis of this record.

The information about this scheme is available on the official portal fert.nic.in. You can also take advantage of the scheme by getting information through this website.
