Insect management in Gram crop

Insect management in Gram crop
  • Gram crops are very sensitive to insect attack as it is planted during the Rabi season.
  • This is the time of insect attacks like Helicoverpa armigera (pod borer) in this crop.
  • Its infestation causes a lot of damage to the leaves of grams and this pest causes a lot of damage to undeveloped pods and flowers.
  • For prevention use Chlorantraniliprole 18.5 % SC @ 60 ml/acre or Novaluron 5.25 %+ Emamectin Benzoate 0.9 SC @ 600 ml/acre or Profenofos 40 % + Cypermethrin 4% EC@ 400 ml/acre or  Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG @ 100 gram/acre.
  • As a biological treatment using Beauveria Bassiana @ 250 gram/acre

Use and benefits of Rhizobium before sowing in gram crops

Use and benefits of Rhizobium before sowing in gram crops
  • There is a great importance of  Rhizobium bacteria in pulses crops. This culture includes nitrogen-fixing bacteria.
  • It lives as a symbiotic in the roots of pulses crops and converts atmospheric nitrogen into a simple form that can be used by the plant.
  • It helps the farmers by helping the plants to grow well. The use of this culture makes the plants perform well in various processes like respiration etc.
  • It is used as soil treatment and seed treatment before sowing.
  • Use 1 kg of Rhizobium culture in 50 kg FYM or farm soil and broadcast in the field or treat seeds at the rate of 5 gram/kg.

Benefits of seed treatment by pesticides before sowing wheat

Benefits of seed treatment by pesticides before sowing wheat
    • Seed treatment by insecticide is very important before sowing in wheat crops.
    • In wheat, there can be infestation of insect pests like fall armyworm, cutworm, root aphid, etc. For prevention of these pests, it is very important to treat seeds with pesticides before sowing of wheat crops.
    • Use Cyantraniliprole 19.8+ Thiamethoxam 19.8 FS @ 6 ml/kg seeds or Imidacloprid 48% FS @ 9-10 ml/kg seeds or Thiamethoxam 30% FS @ 4 ml/acre use this as seed treatment.
    • By treating these products, insects and pests can be controlled in wheat.

How to control root rot disease in garlic crops

How to control root rot disease in garlic crops
  • Root rot disease: – This disease occurs due to sudden drop and rise in temperature.  fungal disease develops in the ground due to which the garlic crop turns black, due to which the plants do not get the necessary nutrients and the plants turn yellow and wither away.
  • For prevention of these disease use  Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP @ 300 gram/acre or Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP@ 300 gram/acre or Kitazin 48% EC @ 200 ml/acre
  • As biological treatment use Trichoderma Viride@500 gram/acre or Pseudomonas Fluorescens@ 250 gram/acre
  • Always sow crops only after soil and seed treatment.

How to solve the problem of burning of the leaf edges in the onion crop
  • In the onion crop, the problem of burnt leaves edges is seen a lot
  • Burnt edges in onion leaves can also be caused by fungal borne disease, insect and deficiency of nutrients.
  • Attack of any type of fungus in the soil or leaves can cause this problem
  • This problem can also occur if there is an attack of some kind of insect in the roots of the crop.
  • Deficiency of nitrogen or any important nutrient in the onion crop can also cause the problem of burning of leaves edges, it is beneficial to use the following products to prevent it.
  • For prevention of fungal disease use Kitazin 48% EC @ 200 ml /acre or Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP@ 300 gram/acre.
  • For prevention of insect Profenofos 40 % + Cypermethrin 4% EC @ 400 ml/acre or Fipronil 40 % + Imidacloprid 40 % WG@ 80 gram/acre .
  • For nutrient supply use seaweed@ 400 ml /acre or humic acid@ 100 gram/acre.

Advantage of phosphorus solubilizing bacteria in bitter gourd

Advantage of phosphorus solubilizing bacteria in bitter gourd
  • Phosphorus solubilizing bacteria (PSB) are helpful in providing phosphorus as well as micronutrients to the plant.
  • Encourages faster root growth for water and nutrient uptake.
  • PSB produces organic acids like malic, succinic, fumaric, citric, tartaric acid, and acetic acid which fastens the P2O5 uptake, maturity and increases yield.
  • Increase resistance towards diseases and drought tolerance due to rapid cell development in the plants.
  • Reduce 25 – 30% phosphatic fertilizer requirement.
