Due to the effect of El Nino, the weather in more than half of India remains dry. Rain may increase once again in the mountains. Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh have seen rain on 15th August. After 24 hours, the weather here can become dry again. Around August 17, a low-pressure area will form in the northwest Bay of Bengal, under whose influence good rains will occur over Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and East Uttar Pradesh. The monsoon of South India will remain almost dry.
