To boost farmers’ incomes, the Bihar Government’s Horticulture Directorate under the Agriculture Department has launched the “Sabji Vikas Yojana.” This scheme aims to provide subsidies for vegetable cultivation, promote advanced techniques and resources for increased production, and make farmers self-reliant while doubling their income.
Under this scheme, farmers can receive a subsidy of up to 75% for hybrid seedlings of brinjal, watermelon, and melon. Additionally, subsidies of up to 75% per hectare will be provided for crops like pumpkin, Sponge gourd, bitter gourd, ladyfinger, and chilli.
