Light snowfall has started on the high mountains of Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad. Now soon rain and snowfall will start in many districts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh as well as Jammu and Kashmir, which will continue till January 23. Western Disturbance is now reaching the mountains. A cyclonic wind area is formed over Rajasthan. At the same time, due to the effect of the area of anti-cyclonic winds formed over Odisha, moist winds from the Bay of Bengal are increasing the humidity. Due to the combined effect of all these, there is a possibility of rain in western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and north-eastern Rajasthan including eastern districts of Punjab and Haryana on 22 and 23 January. There will be a huge reduction in the ongoing rain activities in South India. From January 23, the temperature will once again start falling in many districts of western Punjab, western Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
