Moong farmers will benefit, Madhya Pradesh government announced

Madhya Pradesh government has made a special announcement to benefit moong farmers. Under this, now the farmers of Harda and Narmadapuram districts of the state will not face any shortage of water for irrigation in moong. This time in the summer season, farmers will get enough water for the cultivation of moong. For this, the government has made arrangements to release water from Tawa Dam into the canals. The canals through which this water will be carried to the fields.

The State Water Resources Minister has announced to release water from Tawa Dam from March 25. According to the government, 782 MCM water is available in the dam. Due to this sufficient water will be supplied for the moong crop. This water will be given to the moong fields in two instalments for 60 days so that the crop can get enough water. The government believes that due to Tawa Dam, farmers will get a lot of benefits this time in the cultivation of moong. Due to this, the economic condition of moong farmers will improve.

According to the data, last year due to lack of water, the moong crop suffered a lot. At the same time, in view of the availability of water in Tawa Dam, the state government has decided to release water in the canals. Under this, water will be released in the canals through Tawa Dam after celebrating a two-day festival. In which 40-40 thousand hectares of water will be provided for Harda and Hoshangabad. After which the remaining water in the dam will be used for other purposes.
