Crop security is a big problem for the farmers. To protect the crop from stray and wild animals, farmers have to monitor the field all the time, which is a difficult and risky task. The only way to avoid this is by fencing, though not all farmers can afford it. In such a situation, the Rajasthan government is providing subsidies to the farmers of its state for fencing. With the help of this, farmers can do fencing in their fields by spending 50% of the total cost.
Let us inform you that in the budget of 2022-23, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced to give subsidy for fencing under ‘Rajasthan Crop Protection Mission’. According to this, a maximum grant of 40 thousand will be given to the farmer per 400 running meters for fencing by the government. At the same time, more than 35 thousand farmers will be benefited from this scheme in the next two years.
Not only this, but the state government has also made many changes in the Rajasthan Crop Protection Mission Scheme. Accordingly, the condition of treating 3 farmers as one unit has been done away with. From now on only the farmer will be able to get its benefit. At the same time, the minimum area limit has been reduced to 1.5 hectares, so that more and more farmers can take advantage of this scheme.
