How to control powdery mildew in pea crop

  • Symptoms of this disease first appear on the old leaves, after which it spreads to other parts of the plant.
  • The powder is deposited on both the surfaces of pea leaves. Later powdery spots are formed on the soft stems, pods etc. The fruits either do not develop or remain small.

  • Chemical treatment: Spray hexaconazole 5% SC @ 400 ml / acre or Sulfur 80% WDG @ 500 gram/ acre or Tebuconazole 10% + Sulfur 65% WG @ 500 gram/acre or Myclobutanil 10% WP@ 100 gram/acre

  • Biological treatment: Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 250 gram as a biological treatment
