  • Plant growth regulators play an important role in onion and garlic crops.

  • Plant growth regulators increase the size of onion and garlic bulbs, enhance bulb quality and also control plant vegetative growth.

  • In order to increase the size and quality of onion and garlic bulbs spray the Mepiquat Chloride 5% AS [Chamtkar] @ 600 ml/acre or Chlormequat chloride 50% SL [ Lihocin] @ 250 ml/acre or Peclobutrazole 23% SC  [Jika] @ 50 ml/acre or Paclobutrazole 40 SC [Taboli] 30 ml/ acre. 

  • They are used in the crop 100 days after transplanting or 10-15 days before digging.
