A depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal, which will soon become a deep depression and move towards the coast of Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu, while heavy rains may also occur at some places on the coast of Andhra Pradesh. Light to moderate rains are expected in Lakshadweep including Kerala and southern interior Karnataka. The weather of the rest of India will remain almost dry. Temperatures will drop due to northwest winds in northwest, north, central and eastern India.
