Method

Remove the hyacinth from the water, cut its roots and keep it for drying till the green colour turns brown.

Make a slurry by adding water to the cow dung, mix dried hyacinth in it and collect it on a drum or soil and cover it with a jute bag, hay or hyacinth leaves.

Now after 4 – 5 days add earthworms. After adding earthworms, keep sprinkling water in 4-5 days because earthworms eat soft things, so it is necessary to maintain moisture.

In this way, vermicompost is prepared in 3 months, one thing has to be taken care of in this that the right amount of cow dung is added, otherwise the earthworms leave the food and the compost is not prepared well.
