Millions earned from the cultivation of banana and turmeric

The area of cultivable land is decreasing with each passing year, so crop production seems to have a huge impact. Amidst these difficulties, Amarendra Pratap, a farmer living in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, has taken a great break. He is earning lakhs by adopting the technique of mixed farming.

Through this technique, Amarendra Pratap is growing many types of crops in the same field. At this time he has planted turmeric crop along with banana in his field. Let us tell you that planting banana crop and turmeric crop together does not affect the production of both crops. According to experts, turmeric cultivation proves beneficial in the banana crop.

Turmeric cultivation with banana crop

Five years ago, Amarendra of Barabanki had planted a banana crop on one hectare of land. After this, adopting modern technology, he started co-cropping farming. Where Amarendra cultivated turmeric with banana on four and a half hectares. With the help of this, he is now getting a net income of Rs.10 lakh per hectare of land besides getting an additional profit of Rs.3-4 lakh from the turmeric crop.

Not only this, Amarendra Pratap is cultivating about a dozen crops like Banana, Watermelon, Melon, Cucumber, Turmeric and Mushroom. By adopting co-cropping technology, they have made their farming profitable. For this success of Amarendra Pratap, he has been honoured by State Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath for his advanced farming.
