The government continues to implement many schemes to improve the economic condition of the farmers of the country. Apart from farming, the government is making many efforts to increase employment opportunities. Moving forward in this direction, funds are given by the government for start-ups.

For this, the ‘Innovation and Agricultural Entrepreneurship Development Program’ has been started under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. Through which funds are given to start various categories of start-ups like agro-processing, artificial intelligence, digital agriculture, agricultural machinery, milk dairy, fisheries and animal husbandry.

At the same time, a stipend of 10 thousand rupees per month is being given for 2 months to increase awareness among the farmers about start-ups. During this training is provided on technical, finance, intellectual property, statutory compliance issues etc. The list of eligible applicants is prepared only after undergoing training and various rigorous processes.

Only then do the beneficiaries get funding for the start-up. Where funding of 25 lakhs is given for the seed stage of R-ABI Incubates. Based on this scheme, 29 agribusiness incubation centres across the country have been selected for training.
