Keep animals healthy in the bitter cold, prepare now

Winter has started and very soon the bitter cold will start falling in most of the states. In such times, special care needs to be taken of the animals so that they can be well taken care of and remain healthy. Due to the cold in the winter season, problems like fever, and shivering have to be seen in the animals, due to which many times the animals also die. To avoid this, cattle herders should start adopting protective measures at present.

Necessary protective measures

  • Due to melting in the hands and feet of animals, there is tingling in the bones. To avoid this, make animals wear jute sacks or wear clothes made of jute.

  • Keep the stables clean because virus-bacteria grow a lot in winter, due to which the animals become ill.

  • Dry the stables and the clothes of the animals thoroughly, even a little moisture can spoil the health of the animals. ,

  • Don’t make the animals sit on the smooth floor, for this make arrangements for a sack or bedding.

  • Feed a balanced diet to animals, feed them mustard oil, jaggery-oil cake and other balanced diets can also be fed.

  • Feed by mixing green fodder and dry fodder in a ratio of 1:3.

  • Oatmeal or Chari can also be fed from time to time, and if possible, give warm water as well.

  • Never keep animals in the open when there is no sunlight. Walk the animals a little when the sun comes out, it destroys harmful viruses.
