Symptoms of damage
Infestation of this pest is more in the dry season, it can be recognized by cut and wilted plants. The larvae of this insect remain hidden in the soil during the day and come out at night and cut the plants from the stem. They also damage them by eating some part of the tuber.
Control measures
For its control, spray Dhanvan 20 (Chlorpyrifos 20% EC) @ 400 ml or Neem Gold 10000 (Azadirachtin 01.00% EC) @ 600 ml per acre, 150 to 200 liters of water.
