Cotton procurement has started in the mandis, sale is being done at this price

The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has started purchasing cotton at Khandwa Agricultural Produce Market since Monday. On the first day, 70 quintals of cotton were purchased from farmers. On the first day, the price of cotton for the farmers ranged from Rs 4150 to Rs 5553 per quintal.

The farmers got happy after getting good prices and the Cotton Corporation of India has been expecting that many more farmers will come to the market to sell their produce in the coming days.

It is worth noting that last year, the Cotton Corporation of India started buying cotton in the Khandwa district in the first week of October. The previous year’s highest price was Rs 5450 per quintal. This time the first day has crossed the previous year’s highest level. The corporation has increased the price to Rs 5800 per quintal this year.

Apart from this, the wheat market price of mill quality in Momanbododia mandi of Shajapur district under Ujjain division is Rs 1934 per quintal and in this mandi, the price of soybean is Rs 3765 per quintal.

Talk about the market price of a gram, lentil, and soybean in Piparai mandi of Ashok Nagar district under Gwalior division is Rs 4775, 5200, and Rs 3665 per quintal respectively. In Gwalior’s Bhind mandi, millet is Rs 1290 per quintal and in Khaniyadhana mandi the mill quality wheat price is Rs 1925 per quintal.

Onion prices are running at Rs 850 per quintal at Gautampura Mandi in Indore and tomato, onion, okra, and gourd are priced at Rs 1400, 500, 1200, and 700 per quintal respectively in the Agricultural Produce Market Committee of Khandwa.

Apart from this, the price of potato and onion in Deori mandi of Sagar district is 2700 and 1500 rupees per quintal respectively. Talking about Damoh Mandi, here tomato is Rs 3500 and the potato is Rs 2500 per quintal.

Talking about wheat, at present the price in Gautampura mandi is Rs 1900 per quintal. The price of wheat in Mhow is Rs 1810 per quintal. Wheat prices in Saver and Indore mandi are Rs 1656 and Rs 1519 per quintal respectively.
