After 2 days of heavy rains in Mumbai, the monsoon has weakened, now from June 18 or 19, the monsoon rains will increase in Mumbai and surrounding areas. There is a possibility of rain from June 16 in North Rajasthan including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon can reach East Bihar East Jharkhand and West Bengal around 16 June. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Assam and Meghalaya from June 15.

During the last 24 hours, Monsoon remained active over North East India and heavy rains were recorded at many places. Heavy rain activities continued over Goa, Karnataka, Southwest Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and South Gujarat as well. Now the chances of the advance of the Monsoon are visible in East India. Rain activities will increase in many states. However, the rain will be less over western parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and southeast Rajasthan including Mumbai.

Monsoon has already reached beyond Mumbai but Marathwada North Karnataka Andhra Pradesh is still waiting for it. During the next 2 days, the Monsoon may reach Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, entire Tamil Nadu and some parts of Andhra Pradesh. Pre Monsoon rain activities will be visible over many states of Central India including East India. It will rain in East Gujarat Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh and South-East Rajasthan.

On June 10, Monsoon made light progress and advanced into some parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu including South Konkan Goa. Within the next 2 days, it will reach Andhra Pradesh and Telangana including Maharashtra and will cover the entire Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Pre-Monsoon activities are going to intensify over East India including Gujarat, Southern parts of Madhya Pradesh, South East Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

Pre-monsoon rains will start in Mumbai after a long time. Thunderstorms and thundershowers are possible over many parts of Maharashtra including Telangana, Chhattisgarh, southern districts of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Gujarat. Scattered thunderstorms are possible over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh on June 11 or 12. Monsoon will remain active over Northeast India and weak over South India. The weather will remain warm over the northern parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
