Rain will continue in many states, there is a possibility of light storm

Yesterday, light rain and dust storms accompanied by lightning lashed eastern India including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Light rain was also seen in Mumbai. From today the weather will start clearing in North India and the heat will start increasing gradually. Rain activities will continue over South India and Northeast India including Maharashtra, it will also rain over the mountains.

Possibility of dust storm with thunder, rain in many areas

From Sikkim to the entire northeastern states, there is an alert of heavy rain. In the hilly states, rain and hailstorm are possible in some places due to the effect of western disturbances. Heavy rain may occur over Northeast states including Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Due to the arrival of a new Western Disturbance, cloud cover remained over North West Central and East India, due to which the maximum temperature dropped in many areas and the heatwave conditions improved. There will be relief from the heatwave during the next 2 days also. Good rain is forecast over the mountains. Light rain is likely over Punjab and North Haryana and a dust storm is likely over the rest of Haryana and Northwest Rajasthan. Dusty winds are possible in and around Delhi.
