Monsoon is now nearing its end. Monsoon will officially complete on 30 September. Now rain activities will be restricted to North Eastern states including Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, East Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh some parts of Maharashtra and Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Rain is possible over South Interior Karnataka now. Weather of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Saurashtra and Kutch will remain dry.

Now dry winds will start blowing from the west in North and Central India, due to which the rain will decrease and the weather will remain dry. Monsoon will depart from some more parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan in the next few days. Rain is possible in some parts of Telangana and Maharashtra including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and East Madhya Pradesh.

The low-pressure area that brought rain over North India has now weakened. Now the weather will remain almost dry over West Madhya Pradesh including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat. There is significantly less chance of rain in West Uttar Pradesh also. Rain activities will occur over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Vidarbha, North Telangana, West Bengal and Northeast states.

In Delhi NCR, traffic has come to a standstill due to torrential rains and waterlogging can be seen in many places. From today the rain activities will reduce but this rain will delay the departure of the monsoon. Rain will continue in North East Rajasthan for the next 24 hours, after which heavy rains are possible in Northeast states including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

During the last 24 hours, heavy rains have been recorded at many places over West Uttar Pradesh including most parts of Madhya Pradesh. The low-pressure area is now approaching Madhya Pradesh, due to which rain will continue for the next 3 or 4 days in some parts of Haryana including Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Delhi. Isolated rain activities will continue over Delhi and Mumbai for the next 3 or 4 days. Low pressure in the Bay of Bengal will come over Odisha. Rain is possible over Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, East Madhya Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh. The departure of the monsoon from Delhi may happen a few days later, possibly in late September or early October.

Due to the formation of an Anti-Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan, dry westerly and northwesterly winds will continue over Northwest India. Monsoon will start departing from Rajasthan in the next two days. The effect of low pressure forming in the Bay of Bengal will be visible over Central India and East India. Rain will extend up to Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and East Uttar Pradesh.

The low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal will not be able to move in the west direction. It will move towards East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and will give heavy rains over these states. Heavy rain is also expected in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Orissa. Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab will remain dry.
