At present, a cyclonic circulation is over the northern parts of Maharashtra. Under its influence, the rain will occur over many districts of South East Rajasthan, East Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, northern parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha. There is also a possibility of hailstorms at one or two places in Maharashtra. The weather will remain dry over the mountains, the temperature may also rise in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

After 24 hours, many districts of Madhya Pradesh including South Eastern Rajasthan may rain with thunderstorms. Vidarbha and northern Central Maharashtra may have hailstorms with strong rains. Rainfall is possible in some districts of Gujarat. At present, the weather will remain dry in North India, the heat will increase some more and snow will stop in the mountains.

Indian Ocean Dipole will start turning positive by July. El Nino will begin forming in April and will become dominant during the monsoon months. Monsoon rains can be good if the IOD is very positive. From March 3, the temperature of North West and Central India will start increasing once again.

Light showers accompanied by lightning were witnessed in many districts of Rajasthan today. Northern districts of Punjab witnessed heavy rains and snowfall starting in the mountains. Light rain and drizzle were observed at one or two places over Haryana and northwest Uttar Pradesh. Such weather activities may continue on March 1 as well. Between March 6 and March 8, there is a possibility of rain in Gujarat, South Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and North Maharashtra.

Now a big Western Disturbance will come over the mountains and there may be heavy rains in many places. Snowfall is possible in Srinagar Pahalgam and Gulmarg including Kullu Manali. Light rain may occur over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and Northwest Madhya Pradesh. Light rains are expected over North Central Maharashtra and West Madhya Pradesh including Gujarat on March 6 and 7.
