The Central Government’s Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is an excellent scheme for the future of daughters whereby investing money, you can not only secure the future of your daughter but you can also get income tax exemption.

Under this scheme, the account can be opened from the birth of the daughter till she is 10 years old. At least 250 rupees have to be deposited in this account. A maximum amount of up to Rs 1.5 lakh can be deposited under this scheme within the current financial year. This account can be opened in a post office or an authorized branch of a commercial branch. This account can be kept till the daughter gets married after the age of 21 or 18 years.

  • If it is causes by fungus, use Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP @ 300 gram/acre or Thiophanate Methyl 70% WP @ 300 gram/acre 
  • If it is because of nutritional problem, use Seaweed@ 400 ml/acre or Humic acid@ 100 gram/acre 
  • If it is due to insect, use Profenofos 40 % + Cypermethrin 4% EC@ 400 ml/acre or Fipronil 40 % + Imidacloprid 40 % WG@ 80 gram/acre.

  • Due to the low temperature in the mountainous areas, there is no particular problem of storage.
  • The problem of storage occurs more in the plains and places where the temperature remains high.
  • One thing is important to note that before storing potatoes the potato tuber should be fully matured.
  • Potatoes are required to be kept in cold storage to protect them from spoilage in plain areas.
  • The temperature in these cold storages should be within 1 to 2.5 degree Celsius and relative humidity should be 90-95%.
  • The storage should be checked periodically so that spoiled potatoes can be separated from the good ones.

Deposit loan by 31st January and get discount up to 90%

India’s largest government-owned bank State Bank of India (SBI) has recently come up with a new initiative to provide relief to its customers. According to news, under the SBI Debt resolution  Program, up to 90 % discount is offered to arrears that have deposited loans before 31 January 2021.

Under this scheme, a major relief has been given to the debt defaulters. That is, the old defaulters who have taken the loan will be debt-free by paying only 10 per cent. You can avail a lump sum debt resolution scheme by 31 January 2021 and repay the debt. 

How will the scheme benefit?

Under this scheme, the exemption will be given for any type of NPA loan except agriculture loan, agriculture, business etc. There is also an additional exemption of 5 to 15 per cent of the settlement amount on one lump sum or prompt payment. In this scheme, the account can be closed by depositing only 10 per cent amount. The defaulters can get information related to their NPA account by contacting the bank. The Important thing is that farmers taking agricultural loans will get more benefits of this scheme.

Eligible for debt settlement

According to the Assistant Manager of State Bank of India, a loan account which has been classified in NPA on or before 31 December 2019, the total outstanding per borrower is up to Rs 20 lakh, all such accounts are eligible in the debt resolution scheme

The Madhya Pradesh government is taking several decisions to increase the income of farmers. In this series, the Madhya Pradesh government has taken a new initiative to connect farmers with the food processing business. The government has announced to provide technical knowledge to farmers.

This information was given by Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Food Processing in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He said that ‘farmers should work towards becoming a business of produce by joining farming production as well as food processing. Farmers will need technical skills to join the food processing business, for which the government is ready to help them. The government will provide financial assistance to the farmers as well as knowledge of technical skills.

What is Gamosis blight disease in watermelon crop
  • The symptoms of Gummy stem blight first appear on the leaves and then on the stem in the form of dark brown spots. The lesions often develop first at the leaf margin, but eventually spread over the entire leaf. The symptoms of Gamosis  blight on the stem are visible as lesions. They are circular in shape, and are brown in color.
  • A main symptom of Gamosis  blight or gummy stem blight is that the stem affected by this disease produces a sticky substance like gum.
  • For prevention of this disease use Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP @ 300 gram/acre or Chlorothalonil 75% WP@ 300 gram/acre or Tebuconazole 25.9% EC@ 200 ml/acre 
  • As biological treatment use Pseudomonas Fluorescens @ 250 gram/acre
