  • Molybdenum plays a very important role in chemical changes in nitrogen in green gram crops.
  • Growth of green gram  crops is not proper, due to deficiency of molybdenum.
  • Yellowing occurs on the edges of the leaves. Symptoms of molybdenum deficiency are similar to nitrogen deficiency.

PNB Mahila Udyami Nidhi Yojana

A number of schemes are underway to empower women. One such scheme is the PNB Mahila Udyami Nidhi Yojana which motivates women to start their own business.

Loans are given under this scheme at low interest rate and low terms. A loan of up to 10 lakh rupees can be taken from this. This loan can be used to start a new business as well as to grow an already existing business.

The loan taken from this scheme has to be repaid after 5 to 10 years. Only women can apply in this and the beneficiary woman must have 51% ownership in the business.

Watermelon is cultivated by many farmers nowadays and they also get good benefits from it. But do you know that once in history war broke out between two princely states because of melon cultivation? Yes, this incident actually occurred in Rajasthan in the year 1644 AD when a war broke out between Bikaner and Nagaur princely states for the harvest of watermelon and thousands of soldiers were killed.

The conflict between two farm owners for the melon crop grown on the border of Bikaner and Nagaur princely state was the reason for the beginning of this war. Actually, watermelon crop was planted in the last village of Bikaner state. This watermelon vine went to the spreading village of another princely state. When the melon fruits started growing, then there was this war for claim on the same fruit. In this war, the princely state of Bikaner was won and the soldiers of Nagaur were badly defeated.

Things to remember while taking a soil's sample
  • Do not take samples from the land under the tree, from the meds or the low places, where there is a pile of manure, or where water gets collected.
  • For soil testing, take the sample in such a way that it represents the entire field, at least 500 grams of the sample must be taken. 
  • Remove organic materials such as crop residue, dry leaves, stalks and grasses etc. from the top surface of the soil and choose samples from 8-10 different locations according to the area of the field.
  • Soil sampling should be done from the depth at which the root crop is taken.
  • Soil samples should be collected in a clean bucket or tagari etc.
  • Make sure to label the sample precisely.

MP will have maximum wheat procurement on support price in entire country

In the meeting of the Central Food and Public Distribution Department, the targets were set by different states of the country to purchase wheat on MSP. In this meeting, Madhya Pradesh has been given a target of purchasing 135 lakh tonnes of wheat. Explain that this goal is the highest among all the states of the country.

After Madhya Pradesh, Punjab has been given a target of buying 130 lakh tonnes of wheat. Among other states, Haryana has been targeted to purchase 80 lakh tonnes, Uttar Pradesh 55 lakh tonnes, Rajasthan 22 lakh tonnes, Uttarakhand 2.20 lakh tonnes, Gujarat 1.5 lakh tonnes and Bihar 1 lakh tonnes.
