Several schemes are being run by the Government of India for the prosperity of the farmers. One such scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana which was started in September 2019. Through this scheme, a target has been set to cover around 5 crore beneficiaries by FY 2021-22. Under this scheme, a pension of 3 thousand rupees is given to the eligible farmer brothers every month. If a farmer is 60 years old, then he will get 6 thousand rupees every year under the PM Kisan Yojana and besides this, a pension of 3 thousand rupees will also be given every month.
Explain that under Kisan Maandhan Yojana, benefits will be given to small and marginal farmers. Those farmers who are between the age of 18 to 40 years will be eligible to register under this scheme. A total of 21,20,310 farmers have registered themselves under the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana.
