  •  The nursery of paddy crop can be transplanted in the main field, the farmers who want to sow the seeds directly can choose short duration varieties by the end of June.

  •  Make necessary spraying for protection from sucking insects and fungal diseases in cucurbitaceous crops.

  •  Farmers can transplant chili nursery in the main field this week.

  •  Farmer should broadcast well decomposed cow dung or vermicompost evenly in the field, so that it can be decomposed in time.

Rain will increase now, monsoon will knock in many states soon

know the weather forecast,

After 2 days of heavy rains in Mumbai, the monsoon has weakened, now from June 18 or 19, the monsoon rains will increase in Mumbai and surrounding areas. There is a possibility of rain from June 16 in North Rajasthan including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon can reach East Bihar East Jharkhand and West Bengal around 16 June. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Assam and Meghalaya from June 15.

Electricity bill of lakhs of farmers became zero, take advantage of the scheme soon

The Government of India is running many schemes to provide irrigation resources in the agriculture sector. Apart from this, irrigation machines are being given to the farmers through these schemes on subsidy. Not only this, cheap electricity is also being provided for irrigation facilities. Under this, a target is fixed every year to provide electricity to farmers’ fields in different states.

In this episode, the Rajasthan government has made a special announcement in view of the need of irrigation in the state. Under this, the government has fixed the target of providing electricity connections to all the farmers of the state in the next two years. Through this, electricity will be made available to the farmers at cheap prices, so that farmers can irrigate their crops without any financial problems.

Through this scheme, electricity connections will be made in the fields of about 5 lakh farmers of the state. Along with this, the state government is also running ‘Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana’ to provide relief to the farmers in electricity bills. Under this scheme, the electricity bills of lakhs of farmers have become zero. For this, the government has given relief in electricity bill by giving a grant of 1044 crores.

Whitefly outbreak in cotton crop

White flies have become one of the most serious problems of crop protection. White flies usually lay eggs on the underside of leaves.

White flies cause damage to plants in cotton crop in two ways, first by sucking sap and transmitting viral disease, secondly by secreting honeydew on leaves, due to which the chances of fungal disease outbreak increase.

The following conditions of white fly cause damage in cotton crop –

  • Nymph – greenish yellow, oval

  • Pupa – oval in shape, present on the lower surface of the leaves

  • Adults – small mosquitoes with yellow bodies with a white waxy surface

Heavy rain activities continued over Goa, Karnataka, Southwest Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and South Gujarat as well. Now the chances of the advance of the Monsoon are visible in East India. Rain activities will increase in many states. However, the rain will be less over western parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and southeast Rajasthan including Mumbai.
