New-age agricultural machines help farmers in making farming easier. However, these machines are very expensive and hence ordinary farmers are not able to buy them. But to help these farmers, various schemes run by the government play an important role. Ordinary farmers should also use these expensive equipment and make their farming easier. For this purpose, an agricultural equipment grant scheme is running in many states. In many states of the country like Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, farmers are getting the benefit of this scheme.

If we talk about Haryana, where farmers are being given subsidies of up to 50% on 32 types of farming machines. Farmers of Haryana can apply to avail the benefit of this subsidy. The last date for application in this scheme is 15 January 2024, so please complete the application process before this date.

Like Haryana, farmers of other states can also apply for subsidy under this scheme by visiting the official website of the agriculture department of their state.

A large area of the country faces water shortage due to less rainfall. Due to this, farmers in these areas face huge problems in farming. Here farmers have to depend on groundwater for irrigation of crops. Extraction of groundwater requires expensive irrigation equipment, which not every farmer can buy. Diesel is used in these equipment, the rising prices of which create obstacles for farmers in using it. Because of these problems of farmers, the central and state governments are running many types of irrigation-related schemes. With the help of these schemes, farmers are given financial assistance. “Pradhanmantri Kusum Yojana” is one such important scheme. Let us know about this scheme in detail.

The objective of Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana is to promote solar pumps among the farmers and for this, the government gives subsidies on solar pumps through the fund of this scheme. With its help, farmers irrigate their fields using solar energy.

It is noteworthy that Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana was started by the Ministry of Energy in 2019. Under this, the central government and the state government give subsidy of 30-30%. This means that farmers get a total subsidy of up to 60%. In some states, even a 90% subsidy is given to farmers through this scheme.

Through this scheme, farmers are being given a super subsidy of up to Rs 2.5 lakh on 2WD tractors. If you also want to take advantage of this government scheme, then you can apply for it. Under this, tractors ranging from 20 PTO HP to 40 PTO HP will be given a subsidy of up to 50%.

In this, interested farmers of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, small and marginal farmers, women and North-Eastern states get a subsidy of 50% (maximum Rs 2.50 lakh), while interested farmers of other categories get a subsidy of 40% (maximum Rs 2 lakh).
