Our beloved India is the country that produces the most onion in the whole world. But even after this, sometimes the price of onion in the country starts skyrocketing. The main reason for this is the problem in storing onions for a long time. If the storage facility of onion becomes good, then its supply will be easy in the markets and the price will remain under control. Farmers also sell onions at a very low price due to the inconvenience in storage. In view of these problems of the farmers, the Bihar government is giving subsidy of up to 75% to the farmers to provide onion storage facilities. The farmers of the state are getting this benefit through the “Onion Storage Scheme”.
Under this scheme, small and economically weak farmers of the state can open “Onion Storage House” to store onions and for this, they can get subsidy of up to 75 percent i.e. maximum amount of Rs 4.5 lakh as subsidy.
If you are a farmer of Bihar and want to take advantage of this scheme, then for this you have to visit the official website of Horticulture Directorate, Agriculture Department of Bihar Government. From here you can easily apply online.
