Farmers will get wheat and paddy seeds at a huge subsidy of 50%

With the aim of bringing prosperity to the lives of the farmers, the government is running many schemes. One of these schemes is “Beej Gram Yojana” which was started by the Central Government in the year 2014-15. In this scheme, farmers are encouraged to produce certified seeds.

Under this scheme, farmers grow and sell seeds in their fields. In return, along with the price of the seed, the government also gives seeds at the subsidy of the farmer. In this scheme, 50 to 100 farmers form a group together and they are given seeds through Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

With these seeds, farmers produce more seeds in their fields. In this scheme, the seeds purchased by the farmers are available on subsidy and this subsidy is a maximum of 50%. The Uttar Pradesh government is giving a 50% subsidy on the purchase of paddy and wheat seeds. This subsidy will be available on the basis of Rs 2000 per quintal.

How to control girdle beetle infestation in soybean crop

How to control girdle beetle infestation in soybean crop

  • Girdle Beetle insect causes maximum damage to the soybean crop. The female of this insect forms two rings on tender stems, branches or leaf stalks and makes 3 holes in the lower ring and lays eggs through the middle hole. Small caterpillars emerge from its eggs, after which it hollows the stem by eating it inside.

  • As a result, the stem becomes weak, water and minerals absorbed by the roots cannot reach the leaves, and the entire plant withers and dries up. Due to this, there is a significant reduction in the production of the crop.

  • Chemical Management :- Spray Lambda Cyhalothrin 4.9% EC @ 200 ml/acre OR Beta Cyfluthrin 8.49%+ Imidacloprid19.81 OD% @ 150 ml/acre OR Profenophos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC @ 400 ml/acre OR Thiamethoxam 12.6%+ Lambda Cyhalothrin Spray 9.5% ZC @ 80 ml/acre or Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG @ 40 gm/acre.

  • Biological Management: Spray Bavaria bassiana @ 500 gm/acre.
