  • All these elements are very important for the good germination of pea and should be applied in the soil at the time of sowing.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made a presence in the women empowerment program in the Jan-Kalyan and Suraj Abhiyan organized in Shivpuri recently and gave a big gift to the women self-help groups.

The Chief Minister made available Rs 250 crore to 20 thousand women self-help groups. This amount was distributed to women in the form of bank loans. Apart from this, the help of Rs 163 crore 28 lakh was also given to the flood victims. About 10 thousand women self-help group members registered their presence in this program.

  • Secondary nutrients sulfur and zinc are the major contributors to getting a good yield from garlic crops.

  • Sulfur, along with a good fertilizer in the crop, also acts as a fungicide and insecticide, sulfur helps the plant to make food. Sulfur controls the infestation of many types of harmful fungi, mites etc. in the crop.

  • To meet its deficiency, use bentonite sulfur 5 kg per acre in the soil at the time of sowing or use of single super phosphate 50 kg per acre. For good and quick growth of the crop, liquid Sulfur 80% SC can be sprayed on the crop at the rate of 400 ml per acre.

  • Zinc is also one of the eight essential micronutrients.

  • The yield and quality of garlic crops are affected to a great extent due to zinc deficiency, the crop yield is reduced by up to 20%.

  • In plants, zinc is a key constituent of many enzymes and protein synthesis.

  • It plays an important role in a wide range of processes, such as growth hormone production and internode elongation.

  • Soil application of Zinc Sulphate @ 5 kg/acre is recommended to reduce the damage.

Heavy rains will continue over East India including North Eastern states, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka. Monsoon will depart from Gujarat and Rajasthan soon. The weather of Delhi will remain dry.
