Along with agriculture, many farmers do animal husbandry to earn extra income. To promote animal husbandry, the government also provides loans at low interest. Farmers can get this loan by making Pashu Kisan Credit Card.

Under this, up to Rs 3 lakh is available for rearing cows, buffalo, sheep, goats and poultry. The farmer does not have to give any guarantee for this entire T= amount up to Rs 1.60 lakh.

Banks are also organizing camps to make this scheme popular among the farmers. At the same time, veterinary doctors are also giving information by putting up special hoardings for this in veterinary hospitals. At present, this scheme has been started by the Government of Haryana, but soon this scheme is likely to be started in other states also.
