Farmers have to depend on rain water for irrigation of their fields. Many times the crop also gets spoiled due to lack of rain, to save the farmer from such circumstances, the government is running PM Kusum Yojana. Through this scheme, farmers can get solar pumps installed on government subsidy. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana of the government, farmers have to apply online to get solar pumps installed in the field. If you also want to take advantage of this scheme and have not been able to apply yet, then you do not need to worry because now the last date of application in this scheme has been extended to June 20, 2024.
Let us tell you that through this scheme, farmers get subsidy of up to 60% on installing solar pumps in their fields. Earlier in this scheme, subsidy was given for installing 7.5 HP DC and 10 HP DC pumps, but now subsidy is also being given on solar plants of 3 to 5 HP.
