Farmers who repay the loan on time will get 50% discount
Due to the uncertainty of the weather, there is always a fear of loss to the farmer’s farming. Where many times the entire crop gets ruined due to floods or droughts. In such a situation, to provide economic relief to the farmers, loans are given at low interest by the central and state governments.
In this episode, during the Corona period, the Rajasthan government had implemented a special scheme for the farmers of its state. Under this, the Government of Rajasthan had implemented the ‘Ekmusht Samjhauta Yojana’. Through this, loans are made available to farmers at very low interest by cooperative land development banks.
However, many farmers have not been able to pay the loan even after the completion of the time period. Considering the financial helplessness of the farmers, the state government has issued a new update in this scheme. According to this, farmers will be given interest rebate on timely repayment of loans taken by cooperative land development banks.
As per the order, the last date for repayment of the loan has been fixed as June 30, 2022. Farmers’ interest and penal interest will be waived up to 50% on repayment of the loan on this fixed date. Apart from this, the families of the indebted farmers who have died have been given relief from all kinds of penal amounts. However, it will be mandatory for their heirs to deposit the principal amount.
