In such a situation, sometimes they lose their loved ones due to more problems. To eliminate this problem for farmers, the ‘Ayushman Bharat Card Scheme’ is being run by the Government of India. This scheme is also known as ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

Under this scheme, the poor families of the country are provided health insurance of at least Rs 5 lakh. With the help of this, the beneficiary families can easily get their treatment done in private hospitals without paying expensive fees. Under this scheme of the Center, crores of families in the country are being benefited.

The main objective of the Ayushman Bharat card scheme is to establish one lakh health and wellness centres in the country and to connect ten crore families with a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh per year. Under this scheme, rural households from D-1 to D-7 (except D-6) deprived sections identified in the Social, Economic, and Caste Census (SECC) are being covered. According to the centre, the rest of the sections will also be linked to this scheme in the coming time.
