One of these states is Bihar, which is currently the fifth-largest tea-producing state in India. Here, tea is cultivated on a large scale in Kishanganj, Katihar, Araria and Purnia.

The state government is taking many steps to increase the production of tea here. Under this, the government is providing huge subsidies on vehicles used for the transportation of tea leaves.
