Private mandis will now open in Madhya Pradesh, farmers will benefit from this

Just a few months ago, the central government enacted a new mandi act and cleared the way to make private mandi. Now on this subject, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that “After the new Mandi Act is made by the Central Government, the first private mandi in the country should be established in Madhya Pradesh, For this, after the passage of the Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Produce Market Act (Amendment) Bill-2020 prepared in the state, it will be implemented quickly. This Act will be beneficial for both farmers and traders of the state. ”

The Chief Minister said these things during the high level meeting in the Ministry while discussing the provisions of Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Produce Market Act (Amendment) Bill-2020. In this meeting, Minister of Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development, Mr. Kamal Patel, Minister of State for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development, Mr. Girraj Dandoutia, Chief Secretary Mr. Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. K.K. Singh, Principal Secretary Shri Ajit Kesari was present.

  • Protection from pests: – By treating the seed with a suitable pesticide before storage, it also protects the seeds during storage and after sowing. The pesticide was selected based on the type and storage period of the crop.

How to protect the cotton crop from the white grub
  • White grubs as the name suggests are white colored insects that live as a grub in a field whose dormancy period is in the winter.
  • They initially damage  chilli plant  roots. Symptoms of white grub include a complete withering of the plant or stunting of the plant resulting in the plant dying.
  • For control of this insect , in the month of June and July,use Metarhizium culture (kalichakra) along with FYM (2 kg + 50-75 kg)  per acre for control of white grub
  • But if infestation of white grub is visible even in the immature stage of chilli crop, then chemical treatment can also be done to control this pest.
  • use  FENPROPATHRIN 10% EC 10% EC @ 500 ml / acre, CLOTHIANIDIN  50.00% WG @ (Dantotsu) 100 g / acre as soil mix.

Heavy rains will occur in many districts of MP, Meteorological Department issued alert

There is a possibility of heavy rains in many districts of Madhya Pradesh in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, 6 districts of Madhya Pradesh may receive heavy rains and an alert has also been issued. Orange alert has been issued in Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Panna, Damoh, Sagar districts of the state. There is a possibility of lightning in these districts with thunderstorms and very heavy rains.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thunderstorms along with 10 other districts of Rewa division. Apart from this, there has also been a warning of lightning in these areas.

In Madhya Pradesh, Anuppur, Dindori, Shahdol, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Mandla, Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh have also predicted lightning and falling with heavy rains and thunder. A yellow alert has been issued for these districts.

  • For control fungal diseases TEBUCONAZOLE 10% + SULPHUR 65% WG @ 500 gram / acre or CARBENDAZIM 12% + MANCOZEB 63% WP @ 300 gram / acre HEXACONAZOLE 5% SC @ 400 ml / acre 
  • Use biological treatment TRICHODERMA VIRIDE @ 500 gram / acre or PSEUDOMONAS FLUORESCENS @ 250 gram / acre
  • Spray 00:52:34 @ 1 kg / acre to compensate for nutritional deficiency.
  • If yellowing occurs due to pest infestation use ACETAMIPRID 20 % SP @ 100 gram / acre or THIAMETHOXAM 25% WG @ 100 gram / acre or FENPROPATHRIN 10% EC @ 400 ml / acre

Leaf curl virus in chilli

  • Sucking pest whitefly are the main vectors of leaf curl virus in chilli
  • The whitefly spreads the virus known as Chura-mura (leaf curl virus) which also causes leaves to be damaged.
  • Ripe patches are formed on the mature leaves and the leaves are shredded into small cuts.

Banks have given big relief to farmers, will not have to pay 50% interest of loan

Relief for farmers, Govt. extended the duration of short-term crop loan

A major decision has been taken by the government to provide relief to the farmers. A lump sum agreement scheme has been approved in the interest of farmers taking loans from cooperative land development banks.

Under this, the term loan interest and punishable interest of the farmers taking loan is up to 50% waived. After this decision, now farmers will have to pay about 239 crores less as interest.

Such indebted debtor farmers who have died, From the date of death of the farmer, the entire outstanding interest, penal interest and recovery expenses have been completely waived.

1.22 crore farmers get benefit of Kisan Credit Card Scheme

During this time, care was taken by the government to ensure that there is no shortage of money for the farmers and according to the data released by the central government, till August 17, 2020, 1.22 crore Kisan Credit Cards were issued across the country.

All these Kisan Card holders have also been sanctioned with a loan limit of Rs 1,02,065 crore. The Government believes that this will help in reviving the rural economy and speed up the pace of development of the agriculture sector.
