MP Government is bringing a scheme for farmers taking loans from moneylenders

Many farmers do farming by taking loans from moneylenders and they have to face harassment from the moneylenders if they do not repay the loan. The Madhya Pradesh government is now bringing a special scheme for such farmers, by which these farmers will be made debt free.

CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said on this issue that “Madhya Pradesh Rural Debt Waiver Bill -2020″ will free the public from the clutches of money lenders who give loans and recover at arbitrary rates without a valid license. Such landless agricultural laborers, All loans taken to the marginal farmers and small farmers till 15 August 2020 will be zeroed.”

  • Brinjal leaves turn yellow due to change in weather and attacks of pests and fungus.
  • At this stage the brinjal leaves look scorched.
  • Yellowing on brinjal leaves starts at the edges of leaves due to fungal infection.
  • Insects suck the cell sap of the leaves, causing yellowing in the leaves.
  • Nutrients deficiency also makes the leaf appear yellow.
  • If it is due to fungus use Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP @ 300 gram/acre or Thiophanate Methyl 70% WP @ 300 gram/acre 
  • If the reason is nutritional problem use Seaweed@ 400 ml/acre or Humic acid@ 100 gram/acre 
  • If it is due to insect use Profenofos 40 % + Cypermethrin 4% EC@ 400 ml/acre or Fipronil 40 % + Imidacloprid 40 % WG@ 80 gram/acre.

  • Nutritional management in plants at this stage is important for improving  the bulb size. 
  • Calcium Nitrate @ 10 kg/acre + Potash @ 20 kg/acre use 60-70 days in sowing.
  • After this 120-140 days of sowing use Paclobutrazol 40%SC @ 30 ml/acre.

  • The problem of yellowing is quite visible in the garlic crop due to which there is a huge impact on the growth and development of garlic.
  • The yellowness of garlic can also be caused by fungal and insect borne and nutritional problems.
  • If it is causes by fungus, use Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP @ 300 gram/acre or Thiophanate Methyl 70% WP @ 300 gram/acre

Precautions to be followed during storage in potato crop
  • Potato is a very perishable crop.
  • For this, proper arrangement of its storage is very important
  • Due to the low temperature in the mountainous areas, there is no particular problem of storage.
  • The problem of storage occurs more in the plains and places where the temperature remains high.
  • One thing is important to note that before storing potatoes the potato tuber should be fully matured.
  • Potatoes are required to be kept in cold storage to protect them from spoilage in plain areas.
  • The temperature in these cold storages should be within 1 to 2.5 degree Celsius and relative humidity should be 90-95%.
  • The storage should be checked periodically so that spoiled potatoes can be separated from the good ones.

  • This disease is caused by bacteria and fungi, which damages the wheat crop.
  • Symptoms of bacterial wilt infection can be seen on all parts of infected plants.
  • The leaves turn yellow, then the whole plant dries up and dies.
  • Wheat crop starts drying in patches
  • For prevention of this disease use Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP @ 300 gram/acre or Kasugamycin 3% SL@ 400 ml/acre 
  • As biological treatment use Pseudomonas Fluorescens @ 250 gram/acre.

Farmers will be given technical knowledge to join food processing in MP

The Madhya Pradesh government is taking several decisions to increase the income of farmers. In this series, the Madhya Pradesh government has taken a new initiative to connect farmers with the food processing business. The government has announced to provide technical knowledge to farmers.

This information was given by Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Food Processing in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He said that ‘farmers should work towards becoming a business of produce by joining farming production as well as food processing. Farmers will need technical skills to join the food processing business, for which the government is ready to help them. The government will provide financial assistance to the farmers as well as knowledge of technical skills.
