On June 10, the monsoon has advanced again, now it has reached Dahanu, Nashik and Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra. Heavy rains will occur in southern and central parts of Maharashtra during the next 24 hours. Heavy to very heavy rains may occur in some areas of northern Karnataka and Telangana. Moderate to heavy rains are expected in Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Rain will continue in the northeastern states. Light rains may also occur in southeastern Rajasthan and southwestern Madhya Pradesh. The weather of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, northern Rajasthan, northern Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and northern districts of Odisha will remain dry and hot. Heat wave will now trouble these areas for the next one week. Monsoon will advance in eastern India only after June 14.
