Animal husbandry, along with farming, provides significant benefits to farmers. To encourage this practice, the government has introduced several schemes. One such initiative is the Acharya Vidyasagar Yojana by the Veterinary Department of Madhya Pradesh, which offers loans to farmers for purchasing buffaloes.
Under this scheme, farmers owning at least one acre of land are eligible for a loan of up to ₹7 lakhs. Out of this, a subsidy of ₹2 lakhs is also provided. If you are a farmer interested in buffalo rearing, you can apply for this scheme by visiting your local veterinary office.
