Good news for farmers of Madhya Pradesh this variety of rice got GI tag

Big good news has come out for the farmers of Madhya Pradesh who are cultivating rice. A special rice variety ‘Chinnaur’ of Balaghat district of the state has got GI tag. State Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel and other ministers of the department have also confirmed this. Along with this, the farmers and the central government have also been congratulated on this subject.

Some time back this variety of paddy was included under the ‘One District One Product’ scheme of Balaghat district. According to the aroma of paddy, agricultural scientists make 3 categories in which there is the low, medium and strong aroma. Chinnaur variety is included in the variety with a strong aroma.

Farmers will get 10 thousand quintal seeds of Rabi crops on subsidy

The Rabi season is about to begin, in view of this, the state government is making plans on its behalf so that the productivity of crops can be increased. The state governments are engaged in arranging fertilizers, improved seeds etc. on their behalf. In this episode, Rabi Productivity Seminar-2021 is going to be organized in Uttar Pradesh to get a good yield from Rabi crops.

Information about this seminar was given on behalf of the State Agriculture Minister Shri Surya Pratap Shahi. Meanwhile, the Agriculture Minister also informed that 50 thousand quintal seeds will be distributed to the farmers of the state for the Rabi season 2021-22. Under this, 10 thousand quintal seeds will be distributed by the state agriculture department’s state agriculture seed stores, while the rest of the seeds will be distributed to the farmers through private institutions.
