Benefits of seed treatment with fungicide, insecticide and rhizobium in soybean

Seed treatment with fungicide protects the soybean crop from wilt and root rot. Seed treatment with insecticide protects the soybean crop from soil pests like white grub, ants, termites etc. Germination of seeds takes place correctly, and the germination percentage increases. Seed treatment with Rhizobium enhances root nodulation and more nitrogen fixation in the soybean crop.

FIR method of soybean seed treatment: –

  • First of all, spread the required amount of seed according to the area on the tarpaulin/plastic sheet.

  • Then give a light spray of water over the seed and after that, treat the seed with fungicide Carmanova (Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP)  2.5 g/kg of seed and dry in a shady place for 10 minutes.

  • After treating with fungicide, as an insecticide, treat the seed with Thianova Super (Thiamethoxam 25% WG)  5 ml/kg of seed.

  • Finally, after treating the seed with Jaiv Vatika (Rhizobium culture) 5 gm/kg of seed, sow the seed in the field.

Heavy rains are expected in Haryana, Delhi, North Eastern Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and North Eastern states including coastal districts of Maharashtra and Karnataka during the next two days. Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and North Odisha may also receive good rains. Monsoon will remain weak in the western districts of Rajasthan as well as in western Haryana, western Punjab, and interior areas of South India during the next two days.

How to prepare the field for soybean sowing

The preparation of the field should be started by deep ploughing, after that 2-3 ploughing should be done with the help of a harrow or soil-turning plough so that the water-holding capacity of the soil will increase and seed germination can also be good.

In the months of May-June, the sunlight falls directly on the ground and there is high temperature, due to deep ploughing, along with the elimination of weeds, their seeds, harmful insects, their eggs and pupae present in the soil, the fungal diseases present in the soil are also eliminated.

Prepared by Gramophone, “Soya Samriddhi Kit” with a total quantity of 8 kg/acre, in well rotten farmyard manure, mixing it well before sowing, broadcast evenly in one acre of field, by the use of a leveller makes the field level. It is mandatory to have sufficient moisture in the soil while using this kit.

The main symptom of this nematode is the formation of knots on the roots, small knots are formed on the roots of the diseased plant, due to which nutrients and water do not reach the plant smoothly, due to which the growth of the plant stops. As a result the plant dries up and the yield decreases.

Control:

  • In summer, after light irrigation of the field, do 2-3 deep ploughing at an interval of 10-12 days. Due to this, the nematodes come to the upper surface and are destroyed by high temperature.

  • To control it, apply Nematofree Plus (Verticillium Chlamydosporium) 2-4 kg/acre at the time of field preparation and sowing.

Monsoon has arrived in Delhi. Monsoon has knocked in Jaisalmer along with Delhi. Due to heavy rains, the life of Delhi has become disrupted. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Delhi, Haryana, North Madhya Pradesh, North Eastern Rajasthan and South Punjab from West Uttar Pradesh between June 30 and July 1. Most areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai will receive heavy rains. Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and North Eastern states will also see heavy rains.

Farmers of this state are getting 50% subsidy on tractors

With the help of tractors, farmers find it very easy to do farming. That is why tractors have become the biggest need of farmers in today’s time. The government also understands this need of the farmers very well, that is why it provides a good subsidy to the farmers on the purchase of tractors. In this series, the Jharkhand government is also giving good subsidy on tractors to the farmers of its state.

The scheme being run for this in Jharkhand is called Mukhyamantri Tractor Yojana. Through this, the farmers of the state are being given up to 50% subsidy on tractors. Under this scheme, tractors are given to farmers belonging to farmer groups, self-help groups, water panchayats, lamps-PACS and farmers’ organizations.

Farmers wishing to take advantage of this scheme can go to the district agriculture office of their area and get all the information about it. Farmers can go to the land conservation office to apply under this scheme. Here you can complete the application process till July 3.

Root rot disease is one of the few fatal diseases in the cotton crop. Plants affected by this disease suddenly start drying up. The colour of the leaves turns yellow. Affected plants can be uprooted easily. The roots of the plants start rotting and turn brown and black.

Prevention: Destroy the plants affected by the disease. To save the crop from this disease, adopt crop rotation, and select varieties resistant to root rot disease. Seed treatment before sowing is very important.

For biological control, Combat (Trichoderma viride) at 8 gm/kg seed

or

Treat with Vitavax Power (Carboxin 37.5% + Thiram 37.5% WS) 3 gm/kg seed.

Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal are still waiting for the monsoon, but monsoon has knocked in Uttarakhand, Himachal, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir. A low pressure will form in Uttar Pradesh which will reach Rajasthan via the south of Delhi. There is a possibility of torrential rains in many states. Monsoon will reach Uttar Pradesh within two days.
