The 19th Installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to Be Released Soon

The 19th installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, aimed at improving the economic condition of farmers, is expected to be released soon. According to reports, the central government has announced that the 19th installment will be credited to farmers’ bank accounts by the end of February 2025.

As per media updates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar on February 24, 2025. During his visit, an agriculture-focused program will be organized, where it is anticipated that the funds for the 19th installment will be transferred to farmers’ bank accounts.

Under this special scheme of the central government, farmers receive an installment of ₹2,000 every four months, amounting to a total of ₹6,000 annually. The funds are directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts.

To continue receiving the benefits of the PM Kisan Yojana, it is mandatory for farmers to complete their e-KYC. Those who have not yet completed this process should do so immediately by visiting the official website of PM Kisan Yojana: https://pmkisan.gov.in.

Benefits of Beauveria bassiana in crops

Beauveria bassiana is a biological insecticide based on fungi. This fungus is found naturally in most parts of the world. Also, the spores of this fungus germinate as soon as they come in contact with the skin of the insect, and spread on the body of the insect, due to which the fungus spreads throughout the body of the insect and within 48 to 72 hours the insect dies.

Beauveria bassiana is also effective in high humidity and low temperature. It is beneficial for the prevention of pests like pod borer, leaf folder, leaf-eating insects, sucking insects, termites in the soil and white grub etc. in different types of crops and vegetables. Also, it controls the pest caused by fungus.

Method of use:

  • For soil application, 1 kg per acre mixed with about 75 kg of FYM should be used at the time of the last ploughing.

  • If pest infestation is seen in the standing crop, then spray at the rate of 250-500 grams per acre mixed with 150-200 litres of water.

  • Chemical fungicides should not be used before and after the use of Beauveria bassiana.

It is a polyphagous insect. Larvae of this pest often damage the crop by making holes in the fruit. In the initial stage, the young larvae feed on flower buds and fruits by making circular holes. Later, this larva eats the fruit from the inside by putting its head inside it. As the infection progresses, the fruits rot and fall down.

Control: To control this pest, apply Emanova (Emamectin Benzoate 5% SC) @ 80 ml per acre or Cover (Chlorantraniliprole 18. 50 % SC) @ 60 ml per acre along with Bave Curb (Beauveria bassiana) @ 250 gm per acre. Spray in 150-200 litres of water.

Install a Solar Pump Worth ₹2.5 Lakh for Just ₹23,900 – Here’s How the Government is Helping Farmers

Farmers in Uttar Pradesh are benefiting from the Kusum Scheme launched by the state government to address electricity shortages. This scheme allows farmers to install solar pumps at a substantial subsidy, reducing irrigation costs significantly while improving crop production through proper irrigation.

Under the scheme, farmers can get solar pumps installed for just ₹23,900. Without the subsidy, this installation would cost up to ₹2.5 lakh—a sum that is often unaffordable for many farmers. To address this, the government provides solar pumps at minimal costs under the scheme.

For Scheduled Tribe farmers, the subsidy extends to 100%, allowing them to install solar pumps entirely free of cost. In addition to supporting irrigation, farmers can generate income by selling excess energy produced by the solar plant.

Farmers interested in availing of this scheme can apply online via the official website of the Uttar Pradesh government. For more details, they can also visit their nearest electricity department office or check the PM Kusum portal for Uttar Pradesh.
