Crops have to suffer a lot due to stray animals. Especially vegetables, flowers, fruits, spices, cereals and medicinal crops suffer losses up to 40% due to this. The only reason for this wastage is that the farms are not safe and the government is making many schemes to overcome this problem.
The Department of Horticulture has planned to provide 50 to 70% subsidy for chain fencing or wire fencing of fields. Under this scheme, it will be implemented in about 20 blocks first. If good results of the scheme are visible in these blocks, then approval will be given for this scheme in the entire state.
