Prepare the field for garlic crop like this

For the cultivation of garlic, loose soil with good drainage, which has a high amount of organic carbon and whose pH level is 6-7 is considered ideal. Highly acidic and heavy soil is not suitable for this crop. The optimum time for sowing garlic is from September to October.

To prepare the field, after harvesting the previous crop, do one ploughing in the field with the help of a soil-turning plough and 2-3 ploughing with the help of a harrow. If there is less moisture in the soil then first do plowing, then prepare the field and finally make the field level by leveling it. Keep the distance between plant-to-plant and row-to-row 10 to 15 centimetres. Keep the seed rate at the rate of 5-6 quintals/hectare.

For fertilizer and other nutrient management Urea- 20 kg + SSP- 50 kg + DAP- 30 kg + MOP- 40 kg + Seaweed, Amino, Humic (Tri-Coat Max) 4 kg + NPK Consortia (TB3) 3 kg + Zinc Solubilizing Bacteria (Taba G) 4 Kg +(Fipnova Gr) FIPRONIL 0.6% GR @ 4 Kg + Micro Nutrient Mixture (Agromin) 5 Kg + Magnesium Sulphate 5 Kg per acre.

Set up your own vermicompost unit, the government is giving up to 50% subsidy

Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme

Excessive use of chemical fertilizers gives rise to many side effects. To reduce these side effects, the use of organic fertilizers is being promoted by the government. For this purpose, the Rajasthan government is running the Govardhan Organic Scheme for the farmers of its state. Through this scheme, farmers are being encouraged to produce organic fertilizer. Through the scheme, farmers can set up their own vermicompost unit and for this they will be given bumper subsidy.

It is worth noting that excessive use of chemical fertilizers reduces the quality of the crop and the yield capacity of the soil. Due to this, the environment is also affected badly. This is the reason why the government is promoting the Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme. Under this scheme, farmers will be encouraged to make organic fertilizer through their cattle.

Up to 50% subsidy will be provided by the government to farmers to start vermicompost units. Apart from this, under this scheme, farmers are also given training to start organic farming and vermicompost. To avail the benefits of the scheme, farmers can apply through “Raj Kisan Sathi Portal” or by visiting the nearest e-Mitra kiosk.

  • In wilt disease, the leaves turn light yellow while the leaves of the top branches become curved and twisted. In the later stage, the yellowed leaves discolour and fall prematurely. The plant fails to produce new leaves or flowers causing some of the twigs to bare and eventually dry up. Proper sanitation in the garden can keep the disease at bay. The infected trees should be uprooted.

  • For the prevention of this disease, Trichoderma viride 5 -10 gm or Pseudomonas fluorescence 2.5 -5 gram per 5 kg of treated cow dung should be added per pitcher, while planting and 10 kg per pitcher on old plants.

  • Trichoderma viride 5 -10 grams or Pseudomonas fluorescence 2.5 -5 grams per litre of water and drench on the plant.

  • Make a basin around the guava plant and mix Carbendazim 45% WP @ 2 gram/litre of water or Copper oxychloride 50% WP @ 2.5 gram/litre of water and drench it in the basin.

The last week of monsoon has now started but a new low pressure is going to give heavy rains in many states. Mumbai and its surrounding areas may receive torrential rains during the next two days. Heavy rains are expected in many districts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. Due to heavy rains especially in South Gujarat, there is a possibility of waterlogging and flooding in many places. There will be good rains in East Uttar Pradesh including West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. From this evening, light rains may start in some parts of Haryana including Delhi, which will gradually cover many districts of Punjab as well. Light to moderate rains are also expected in Himachal and Uttarakhand. Rains will start in East Rajasthan after 24 hours.

  • This causes premature drying of maize leaves and results in the destruction of leaf tissue, breakage of stalks and shrivelling of grains.

  • Damaged leaves become somewhat yellow and sticky on the upper surface and brown due to webbing on the lower surface.

  • Use Omite (Propargite 57% EC) 400 ml/acre to control Spider Mites in maize crops.

Prepare the field like this before sowing in pea farming

Pea farmers should start preparing the field for the sowing of pea seeds 10 days before sowing.

For preparation, mix the following manure and fertilizers and mix them in the soil.

  • Manure – Apply 4 tons of cow dung manure + 4 kg composting bacteria (speed compost) per acre of soil.

  • Fertilizer and Other Nutrients – SSP Granular with Boron – 150 kg + Urea 35 kg + MOP 10 kg + Consortia of PK Bacteria (Pro Combi Max) @1 kg + Rhizobium (Bio Vatika R) @1 kg + Trichoderma viridi (Rhizocare) @ 500 gm + Sea Algae, Amino, Humic (Tri-Coat Maxx) @ 4 kg + Magnesium Sulphate 5 kg per acre.

A low pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal. This low pressure area will soon become stronger. Today its effect will be seen in the form of heavy rains over West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, South Gujarat and Mumbai. After 24 hours, rain activities will also start increasing in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There is also a possibility of light rain in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab, which may intensify on 27 and 28 September. Rajasthan will have to wait for two days for rain. Many districts of eastern Rajasthan can also see rain from 27 September.

Start goat rearing business, government will help up to Rs 8 lakh

Farmers can improve their financial condition by doing animal husbandry along with farming. Seeing this quality of animal husbandry, the government also encourages farmers to do animal husbandry and also runs many schemes. In this episode, farmers of the state can take advantage of the Goat Farm Scheme run through the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department of the Government of Bihar.

Let us tell you that under this scheme, a bumper subsidy of up to 60% can be availed to start goat rearing. By applying under this, animal breeders can avail subsidy of Rs 1.21 lakh to Rs 7.82 lakh from the state government.

It is worth noting that through the Goat Farm Scheme, animal breeders of the general category can start goat rearing by taking subsidy up to 50%, while animal breeders of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe can get subsidy up to 60% under this.

To start a farm through the scheme, livestock farmers can apply online for 20 goats and 1 male goat or 100 goats and 5 male goats. To apply, you have to visit the official website of the Animal Husbandry Department.
