A new Western Disturbance will affect the mountains from January 16. There will be snowfall in the higher mountains and rain is possible in the lower areas. Now there is a possibility of a decline in the temperatures of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Necessary spraying for yellowness and growth in rabi paddy nursery

Farmers have sown seeds for summer paddy nurseries in many places, Crops are being adversely affected due to climate change, due to which the paddy nurseries are turning yellow. And the vegetative growth of the plants is also not happening properly. In such a situation, let us know how to save the nursery.

Preventive measures

  • Make sure to irrigate the nursery in the evening.

  • If possible, smoke around the nursery in the evening.

  • When the frost is expected, take a spray of Monas–Curb (Pseudomonas fluorescens 1.0 % WP) @ 500 gm + Novamaxx (Gibberellic Acid 0.001 % L) @ 300 ml per acre @ 200 litres of water.

Or 

  • Spray the crops with Wokovit (Sulphur 80% WDG) @ 35 gm + Novamaxx (Gibberellic acid 0.001 % L) @ 30 ml per 15 litres of water. Due to this, the temperature can increase by 2.5 degrees centigrade.

Cold wave conditions are prevailing at many places and frost also occurs at some places. The weather of almost the entire country remains dry. There may be rain in Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh from the 16th and 17th of January.

Symptoms and control measures of Purple blotch disease in the onion crop

Symptom of damage: Due to the outbreak of this disease, there are small white dots on the upper part of the leaves with irregular chlorotic areas. Circular to oblong concentric black velvety rings or purple spots appear in the chlorotic area. Lesions develop towards the base of the leaves. Infected leaves droop down and die. With this disease, the tubers of the infected plant also get infected.

Control measures: For the control of this disease, Spray Novacrust (Azoxystrobin 11% + Tebuconazole 18.3% SC) @ 300 ml or Score  (Difenoconazole 25% EC) @ 200 ml + Silicomaxx gold @ 50 ml + Novamaxx (Gibberellic Acid 0.001 % L) @ 300 ml per acre @ 150 to 200 litres of water.

Measures for identification and control of potato virus and disease in the potato crop

Symptoms of damage: The disease carrier of this virus is an Aphid, at the same time, this disease spreads by sowing affected potatoes and also by weeds. Aphid (Mahu) is a small insect that sucks the sap of the leaves. As a result of which the leaves shrink and the colour of the leaves becomes yellow. Leaves appear twisted. Later the leaves dry up and fall.

Control measures

  • Install 8 to 10 yellow sticky traps per acre for monitoring.

  • To control this pest, Spray Admire (Imidacloprid 70% WG) @ 36 gm or Rogor (Dimethoate 30% EC) @ 264 ml + Silicomaxx gold @ 50 ml + Novamaxx (Gibberellic Acid 0.001 % L) @ 300 ml per acre, 150  to 200 litres of water.

  • After 3 days spray Privintal BV @ 100 grams per acre in 150 to 200 litres of water.

Let us tell you that this update is regarding completing the e-KYC process for the scheme. Those farmers who have not yet done the required e-KYC for PM Kisan Yojana should complete it as soon as possible, otherwise Rs 2000 of your 16th instalment may get stuck.

Now very little time is left to complete the e-KYC process under the scheme. According to the news coming in the media, the last date for this has been fixed as 15th January. To do e-KYC, you can visit the official website of the scheme www.pmkisan.gov.in or you can also visit your nearest CSC centre or nearest bank branch.

Control measures: For the control of this pest, Spray Meothrin (Fenpropathrin 30% EC) @136 ml or Fosmite 50 (Ethion 50% EC) @ 600-800 ml + Silicomaxx gold @ 50 ml +  Novamaxx (Gibberellic Acid 0.001% L) @ 300 ml, per acre @ 150 to 200 litres of water.

After 3 days, Spray Privintal BV @ 100 gm per acre in 150 to 200 litres of water.
