In our country, women do a lot of work but their work is never recognized. Often women do all the work at home or even work in the fields, but the work at home is not recognized and men get full credit for the work done in the fields. If we talk about work in the external sector, here too women are playing a very important role. However, rural women are not able to fit in outside work and their being unskilled is responsible for this. However, to overcome this problem, the Central Government has started “Lakhpati Didi Yojana” under the National Rural Livelihood Mission.
Under this scheme, a target has been set to make 2 crore women Lakhpati Didi in the country. The Government of Chhattisgarh is also running the Rural Livelihood Mission “Bihan” scheme even before the launch of this scheme. With the help of this scheme, efforts are being made to connect more and more women with self-help groups and make them self-reliant. Through this, women are being motivated for employment.
Under the ‘Bihan’ scheme, women are prepared for various jobs like Krishi Sakhi, Pashu Sakhi, Mahila Kisan Credit Card, Bank Sakhi, Goat Farming, Bee Keeping, Nutri Garden Promotion, and Bank Mitra.
