75% subsidy on beekeeping, will earn up to 10 lakhs

subsidy on beekeeping

Nowadays, farmers are earning well by engaging in animal husbandry alongside traditional and other popular crops. Beekeeping is also being promoted to increase farmers’ income. To achieve this, both the Central and State Governments are implementing various schemes. In line with this, the Bihar government is providing significant subsidies to farmers in the state for beekeeping.

With the aim of boosting honey production in the state, the state government is offering substantial subsidies of up to 75% to farmers for bee hives and their boxes. This means that if the cost of purchasing a bee hive and its box amounts to one lakh rupees, the government will provide assistance of Rs 75,000. To avail of this grant, farmers need to visit the nearest agriculture department and apply.
