Electricity worries away, now farmers will get more electricity

With the onset of the summer season, the electricity demand has also increased. Power cuts have started in most areas amid increasing demand and lack of supply. In such a situation, the biggest impact of power cuts is being seen on the companies and farmers.

While farmers have already planted summer crops in their fields, many farmers are about to start preparing for the Kharif crop by the end of May. Meanwhile, due to the problem with electricity, the farmers may have to deal with a shortage of water. Given this problem, the Rajasthan government has decided to supply electricity to the farmers through a roster system for agricultural work.

According to this, electricity will be supplied to the farmers in three blocks for agricultural purposes. Under this, electricity will be provided in 3 blocks for 4-4 hours at different times in 24 hours. That is, in the farmers, rural and urban areas, electricity will be cut according to the roster system. Where electricity will be supplied from 10 am to 2 pm. After this, electricity will be provided from 12 pm to 4 pm and then from 2 pm to 6 am at the night.

Deficiency of sulphur in the fields and sources to remove it

  • Sulphur deficiency in the farms is a real problem, and should be rectified immediately. Therefore, by using sulphur-containing fertilizers, the deficiency of sulphur in the fields can be removed and maximum production can be taken from the crops.

  • Sulphur plays an important role in increasing the yield and quality of various crops.

  • It is also helpful in increasing oil content and protein percentage in oilseed crops.

  • To overcome sulphur deficiency, the selection of sulphur containing fertilizers depends on the crops, their varieties and easy availability.

  • The sources of sulphur as an essential element for crops and the percentage of sulphur in them are as follows –

Sulphur containing fertilizers

Sulphur percentage

Ammonium sulphate

24

Ammonium sulphate nitrate

15

Ammonium phosphate sulphate

15

Calcium sulphate [Gypsum]

14 – 20

Phospho Gypsum

11

Single super phosphate

12

Potassium sulphate

10

Potassium magnesium sulphate

16 – 22

Zinc sulphate

15

Pyrite

22 – 24

  • Generally, sulphur is used in most of the crops @ 10 kg per acre. Keep in mind that if the soil is acidic, then the use of ammonium sulphate and potassium sulphate is suitable. In alkaline soils, single super phosphate or gypsum should be used.

Get fencing of fields on 50% grant, know the government’s plan

In order to protect the crops from stray animals, farmers get the fencing done in the fields. Stray animals are unable to enter the field because of the cordon. Due to this, the crop remains safe.

However, small-scale farmers are not able to get wirebandi done due to financial constraints. Due to this, they do a lot of damage. In such a situation, for the financial help of these farmers, the Rajasthan government has started the Tarbandi scheme. Under this, the state government is providing subsidies for fencing, so that farmers of every category can protect their crops from stray animals.

Under this scheme, 40 thousand rupees will be provided to the beneficiary for fencing up to 400 meters. For this, the applicant must have 0.5 hectares of cultivable land. If the applicant benefits from any other scheme related to agriculture, he will not be considered eligible for this scheme.

To take advantage of this scheme, visit the official website of the Agriculture Department of Rajasthan. Download Tarbandi Scheme Form Here. After that, fill in all the information carefully and submit it.
