Purchase of wheat, gram, mustard and lentils will start on same day in Madhya Pradesh

The time has come to harvest rabi crops. Farmers are about to start wheat harvesting now. In view of the preparations for harvesting, the Madhya Pradesh government has also announced the dates for purchasing the produce. The government will start the procurement process from the 15th of March.

In this regard, Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Mr. Kamal Patel said that “from March 15, there will be purchase of gram, mustard, lentils along with wheat and the limit of purchase has also been increased.” He further said that “With the introduction of wheat, gram, mustard and lentils, farmers will get more than the support price.

  • By treating seeds of okra before sowing, seeds can be protected from many types of pests and diseases.
  • Seed treatment also promotes proper germination of okra seeds.
  • Chemical treatment: use  Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP @ 2.5 gram /kg Seed or Carboxin 37.5% + Thiram 37.5% DS @ 2.5 gram/kg Seed or Insecticide Imidacloprid  48% FS @ 4 ml/kg Seed or Thiamethoxam 30% FS @ 4 ml / kg seed.
  • Biological treatment: Treat seed with Trichoderma viride @ 5 gram + PSB bacteria @ 2 gram / kg seed or Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 5 gram/kg seed.
  •  While doing seed treatment, take special care to use the treated seeds for sowing on the same day after treatment. Do not store the treated seeds.
