The monsoon trough will remain in the foothills of the Himalayas for the next four-five days. Under its influence, heavy rains may occur over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next two-three days. The weather in Rajasthan including Punjab Haryana Delhi will remain dry. There will be heavy rains in the eastern districts passing through the central districts of Uttar Pradesh. Good rains are also likely over northeastern states including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim. From August 15, rain activities will increase over Odisha including Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh. Light rain may also start in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. Light rain in Gujarat Maharashtra’s weather will be almost dry but coastal districts may receive light rain.
