Many schemes are being run by the government for the empowerment of women. In this episode, the Maharashtra government has started a beneficial scheme for the women of its state. The Maharashtra government has started the ‘Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ under which about 1 crore women across the state will be given assistance up to Rs 1500 per month. Let us tell you that this scheme is being started on the lines of the Ladli Bahina Yojana already running in Madhya Pradesh.
Giving information about the ‘Chief Minister Manjhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’, the Chief Minister of the state Eknath Shinde said that “This scheme will work as a protection for the women of the state. Therefore, this scheme has been linked to the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan.” He has also said that “This scheme for women will not be temporary but will continue forever.”
Let us tell you that under this scheme, women of 21 to 65 years of age in Maharashtra will be given assistance up to Rs 1500 per month. Here it is to be noted that the benefit of this scheme can be availed by those women who are financially weak and whose family’s annual income is not more than 5 lakhs.
