The central government is making constant efforts to provide every family in the country with their own house. The dream of lakhs of families has been fulfilled so far through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Moving in this direction, houses of 5 lakh 21 thousand families have been made in Madhya Pradesh simultaneously. During this, traditional festivals were organized by the government in the new houses.
Under this scheme, more than 24 lakh houses have been built in the state so far. In these, out of the approved applications of Baiga, Sahariya and Bharia tribes, more than 23 thousand houses have been built. Apart from this, for those who do not have their own land, the state government has also announced to give them free plots. Let us inform you that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was started on 25 June 2015. The objective of this scheme is to provide pucca housing to every person by 2024.
