In this series, the Haryana government is encouraging the farmers of the state to adopt the micro-irrigation model. Under this, farmers can get micro irrigation systems installed on subsidy.
Explain that the government is giving this subsidy on installing drip, and sprinkler irrigation systems and recharging borewells etc. under the micro irrigation system. Significantly, these devices also help a lot in saving water.
However, under this scheme, a subsidy of up to 85% is being given on recharging borewells and a target has been set to install 1000 recharging borewells in the initial phase of the scheme. To take advantage of this, the farmers of Haryana can visit the website of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Haryana, hid.gov.in or can also inquire about this at the nearest Agriculture Department office.
